International cooperation at stake

Financing development cooperation is becoming increasingly difficult – for Biovision too.

Dear Friend of Biovision

The Swiss parliament has decided on massive budget cuts for international cooperation. This also presents major challenges for NGOs like Biovision. Rising living costs and the general uncertainty of the global political situation are adding to the problems. In a detailed interview, Loredana Sorg, Co-Director of International Partnerships, explains how Biovision is responding to these cuts and why stable financing is crucial right now. Read about the prospects she sees for the future of the foundation and international cooperation in general.

Your support is more important than ever right now! Your contribution will help to sustainably secure our international cooperation projects and to meet the challenges of our time

I want to support Biovision's project work

This newsletter also contains a few examples of our project work, including our recent contribution to the Biodiversity COP 16 in Cali, Colombia, or what potential the Ugandan government sees in agroecology thanks to a biovision project.

And for those who were unable to attend this year's symposium, we have captured the best moments and images of the event on our website.

We wish you a pleasant evening and an inspiring read.

Warm regards,

Lothar J. Lechner Bazzanella

Our Policy & Advocacy Team, together with partners, developed a guide to help political decision-makers integrate agroecology into National Biodiversity Strategies and Actions Plans (NBSAPs). Agroecology is an opportunity to address biodiversity while simultaneously advancing other international targets, including those related to climate change, desertification, disaster risk reduction, hunger, poverty, health and nutrition.
